PAI MU TAN – WHITE PEONY
£8.45 – £17.95
Pai Mu Tan (or Bai Mudan) is one of the best known White Teas. Grown in the Fujian Province, it’s name translates as “White Peony“.
Plucked from Mid March to early April, the tea is dried in the sun or in closed rooms without further aid. The leaf shows many shades of green, is very voluminous with different shapes and a nice portion of longish, silvery-white leaf tips.
The cup colour is a shimmering amber tone, and the taste is elegantly spicy.
